Sharod Utsav 2026 in Erlangen

She returns every year. But some arrivals feel different. For six years, Durgaville has been more than a celebration. It has been a promise to keep a piece of home alive in the heart of Germany. A place where the sound of the dhaak, the fragrance of shiuli, the glow of the lights, and the warmth of togetherness remind us that some traditions never fade, no matter how far we are from home. This year, we invite you to experience the magic. Not just to attend a festival, but to witness a spectacle that has been imagined, designed, and crafted with love over countless hours. A celebration where every detail has a purpose, every moment tells a story, and every memory is meant to stay with you long after the final dhunuchi dance. A new idol. A new vision. A season reborn. We are not ready to reveal everything just yet. But when the final curtains rise this October, we hope you won't just attend another Durga Puja. We hope you'll witness something that will make every devotee's heart feel at home, and every visitor understands why this festival means so much to us. Call for Creative Submissions

Sharodiya is more than our annual magazine. It is a collection of memories, creativity, voices and stories that bring our community together.

As we prepare the 6th edition of Sharodiya, we invite writers, artists, photographers, travellers, food lovers and creative minds of all ages to become part of this special journey. Send us your stories, poems, articles, paintings, photographs, recipes, travelogues or any original work you would love to see published.

There are no age or language restrictions.

Every contribution makes Sharodiya richer. Let your creativity become part of an edition that is especially close to our hearts and a true matter of pride for Durgaville.

Festival Location

Gemeindezentrum Frauenaurach

Our 2026 celebration takes place at Gemeindezentrum Frauenaurach. The venue offers ample space for morning rituals, afternoon community dining, and evening stage showcases with full accessibility.

Admission is completely free for all six days including bhog and dinner on all days. Parking facilities and public transport stops are located within short walking distance of the hall entrance.
